When potentially wrongful conduct is reported, the syndic conducts a thorough inquiry to determine whether a complaint should be filed. If a complaint is filed, the Disciplinary Committee takes over to hear the case. Composed of peers, this committee evaluates the facts in light of professional standards. Together, these two mechanisms ensure the protection of the public, compliance with ethical rules and the credibility of the profession.
