Appointments to the CSF's Board of Directors
Montreal, May 19, 2025 - The CSF (Chambre de la sécurité financière) is pleased to announce the election of four directors to its Board of Directors for a three-year term. More members than ever before applied for the various positions up for election in 2025, testifying to their growing involvement in public protection, the primary mission of the CSF. The four elected members are:

Re-elected Director - Group insurance of persons - Antoine Chaume, CIM, Pl. Fin., B.A.A.
Elected Director – Personal Insurance - Sébastien Drouin, B.A., Pl. Fin.
Elected Director – Mutual fund dealers - Alain C. Roy, A.V.C., B.B.A.
Director elected by the CSF members' general meeting
Mr. Guy Barbeau was re-elected as representative for group insurance of persons, and Mr. Alain C. Roy was re-elected at the Annual General Meeting on May 8, both for a third and final term. Their respective experience gained while serving on the CSF Board, combined with their long-standing expertise in the financial services sector, will be an asset to the CSF.
The Board of Directors also welcomes two new directors, Antoine Chaume, as a representative in the personal insurance sector, and Sébastien Drouin, as a representative in the mutual fund dealership.
At the Annual General Meeting, members also paid tribute to two outgoing Board members, Sylvain De Champlain and Gino-Sébastian Savard, for their unwavering commitment after nearly a decade of contribution to the development of the profession and to the governance of the CSF.
Finally, the Board of Directors met earlier today to appoint a new President and two Vice-Presidents for the 2025-2026 fiscal year. The new President of the CSF is Jean-Philippe Vézina, who was already First Vice-President, and the Vice-Presidents are Nancy Chahwan and Jean-Sébastien Jutras.

Elected by the CSF members' general meeting
The CSF is governed by a Board of Directors made up of thirteen directors, including eight elected from among its members and five independent directors appointed by the Quebec Minister of Finance. This model gives the CSF the competence, expertise and independence it needs to carry out its mission of protecting the public. By becoming involved on the Board of Directors, CSF members contribute to public protection and can directly influence decisions affecting their profession.
