Appointment to the Board of Directors of the Chambre de l’assurance
The election results were announced at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the members of the Chambre de l’assurance on April 21.
Ms. Laventure has worked in the financial services industry for more than 15 years. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration as well as certifications in life and health insurance and mutual funds. Since 2025, she has served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Groupe financier Symbiose. Throughout her career, she has held various positions involving the supervision and mentoring of advisors. Her broad expertise includes strategic decision-making and a strong understanding of compliance and risk management issues. She was elected as a director of the Chambre de l’assurance in April 2026.
The newly elected director will begin her mandate in the coming days after completing the form confirming her adherence to the organization’s Code of Ethics and Rules of Professional Conduct for Directors. Lastly, it should be noted that the voting period, open exclusively to holders of life and health insurance certificates, took place from March 30 to April 17.
