The Chambre de la sécurité financière appoints Christian Faubert as Vice-President, Corporate Services

The Chambre de la sécurité financière’s President and Chief Executive Officer, Me Marie Elaine Farley, is pleased to announce the appointment of Christian Faubert as Vice-President, Corporate Services.

A leading figure of the financial and wealth management sectors for more than 20 years, Christian has acted as Vice-President, Information Technology - Shared Services at Banque Nationale since 2015. His accomplishments include the roll-out of cross-functional business capabilities for digital channels, setting up a new master data management platform, and building new client fundamental analysis data. Previously, he successfully led several M&A and wealth management transformation programs, whether for manufacturers, fiduciaries or investment product distributors.

In his new position, he will play a key role in reaching strategic objectives and the transformation of the CSF. He will ensure an effective transition toward a more agile and innovative organization, based on the values of collaboration and innovation. In order to foster synergies and the successful adoption of new practices and technological solutions, human resources, organizational development, finance, information technology and corporate affairs will fall under his responsibility.

"Christian Faubert’s appointment completes the process of change to the CSF’s management structure, along with the arrival of Lyne Gagné, Vice-President, Members and Profession, and Annick Laberge, Vice-President, Community Relations, in June. These appointments are a major component of the development of a more modern and agile CSF within an ever-changing environment. These three nominations will facilitate the alignment between the teams, promoting collective intelligence and helping the organization in meeting new challenges to provide the public with the best protection and serve the profession optimally," states Me Farley.

Christian is renowned for his commitment to the performance of organizations, the protection and enhancement of data, as well as the implementation of new technology. He is recognized for his innovative outlook, showcasing talent and a collaborative culture, both internally and with members of the community. He is a member of Ordre des comptables professionnels agréés du Québec (CPA) and has an MBA and a B.Sc. from Université du Québec à Montréal.
