Public health and prescription drug insurance plans (sector: insurance of persons)

Chambre de la sécurité financière
1 PDU

Understanding these two plans in order to provide sound advice and fulfill your duty to inform.

This CE activity is designed to broaden your knowledge of the public health and prescription drug insurance plans, two insurance plans managed by the Régie de l’assurance maladie du Québec (RAMQ). Neither one covers the full spectrum of health services or prescription medications available in Quebec.

With a clearer understanding of these plans, you’ll be better positioned to provide your clients with accurate information concerning, for example, health services that are and are not covered by the government, or the eligibility conditions for a plan. The knowledge you acquire will help you to determine which services your clients qualify for based on their personal and financial situations, which in turn will enable you to better identify their needs and provide more detailed advice.

This CE course is specifically for advisors in:

  • Insurance of persons
