A message from Marie Elaine Farley

Dear members,

As all companies and organizations grapple with the COVID-19 crisis, I would like to reiterate that the CSF and its teams are standing by to assist you through this turbulent period.

Your clients, too, are looking for an ally to help them navigate these uncertain times. They need their advisor to be there for them not only to help them make informed choices, but to offer them guidance and reassurance as well.

Many of you are facing your own challenges, whether it’s radical changes in your clients’ priorities or a sudden loss of employment. You’ve had to rapidly adapt to new ways of working and using technology. The unprecedented changes we’ve seen in the past three weeks have exposed new vulnerabilities for clients and advisors alike. We need to be vigilant against the rise in COVID-19-related scams like unsolicited e-mails and text messages, false rumors and fake job offers. As the AMF aptly put it, “fraudsters don’t play clean, pandemic or not.”

To help you through these many challenges, the CSF has created the InfoCOVID-19 page, which contains lots of practical tips, links and resources for advisors. The page is regularly updated to respond to the latest developments and member needs. I encourage you to visit it as often as possible.
