Continuing education period to end in 2023

The end of the next reference period is exactly one year away. Here are the main steps to follow to ensure your peace of mind during this key time:

Verify your PDU record

  • To know how many professional development units (PDUs) you must complete by November 30, 2023, please visit the CSF website and login to your PDU record.
  • View your summary and take note of the number of missing PDUs for the 2021-2023 period.

Enter all your certificates of attendance

  • Make sure that all your proofs of education appear. It is highly recommended that you add them as soon as you receive the certificate of achievement to avoid any oversight. Feel free to contact the training provider to ask them to send you the said proof. How to enter CE activities?
  • It is very important to ensure that all the courses completed during the reference period are added to your record before November 30th, 2023.

ProAdvice: Mandatory compliance course

Have you completed the mandatory ProAdvice compliance course? You must complete it only once between December 1, 2019, and November 30, 2023.

The completion status of ProAdvice is indicated in your PDU record in the Mandatory course acquired column of the summary.

The mandatory ProAdvice course is available on the CSF's website; simply choose the option that suits you according to your field of expertise.

Excess PDUs?

If you had accumulated excess PDUs between September 1st and November 30th, 2021, and did not carry them over, you can still do so in the Priority for PDU postponement tab.

Professional Development Exemption

If you have been off work for four or more consecutive weeks, due to parental leave or disability for example, the number of PDUs required can be reduced, prorated to the length of the absence. To benefit from this, simply fill out the form in your PDU record, and attach the required supporting documents. Our teams will process your request within 15 working days.

University Courses

Many college or university courses can be recognised as PDUs. To do so, please fill out the "Application for recognition of PDUs – University or CEGEP Course" form that you can access in the "Guides and Forms" section.

Canada-Wide Agreement: Did You Know?

If you live elsewhere in the country, you can apply for the CSF’s recognition of your training courses completed outside Québec.

To do so, please fill out the "Application for recognition of PDUs – Canada-wide agreement" form that may be found in the "Guides and Forms" section.

Important note

For all training courses or webinars that you take, whether with the CSF or an external provider, you must always complete the summative evaluation at the end of the training to be able to obtain your PDUs.
