Conseiller agréé en avantages sociaux

The result of an initiative of the Chambre in collaboration with leaders of the financial products and services industry, the "Assurances et rentes collectives" (group insurance and annuities) program, developed by Laval University, is specifically designed for group insurance and group annuities representatives as well as benefit managers and human resources professionals.

This distance learning program leads to the title of Conseiller agréé en avantages sociaux (C.A.A.S.), a professional designation similar to the North American title of Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS).

Entrance Qualifications

Entrance qualifications are a diploma of college studies (D.E.C.) and pertinent experience.

Registration

Registration for the certificate in group insurance and annuities is done directly at Université Laval.

Recognition of Equivalence

Holders of the Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) title can obtain the Conseiller agréé en avantages sociaux (C.A.A.S.) title in accordance with the recognition of equivalence principle.

Process

This professional development program (part-time process) includes ten courses and totals 30 university credits (900 PDUs).
