The Chambre de la sécurité financière is pleased to announce that the transition project of its 20 regional sections is now in the implementation phase. The sections will operate under the Corporation of Professionals in Financial Services (CPFS), an association formed and run by the members of the Chambre who were actively involved under the regional sections.
The Chambre spearheaded this transition in order to separate the member services, which are provided on a voluntary basis by the members of each regional section, from the Chambre’s mission to protect the public. “By evolving autonomously within the CPFS, the sections will be better able to carry out their role, which includes providing training services to members and encouraging networking. As for the Chambre, its governance structure will now fully reflect its supervisory role over the profession”, states Luc Labelle, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Chambre.
The Chambre would like to thank the Autorité des marchés financiers for its support and diligence in reviewing this change within the Chambre. The Autorité’s approval in principle is available on the Chambre’s website.
