Why a new image?

As you may have noted, the Chambre de la sécurité financière has revamped its corporate image and branding and is proud to display its new colors. Its revitalized logo and signature provide a clearer representation of what the Chambre is: A solid self-regulatory organization that oversees its members and on whom professionals and the public can rely.

The Chambre's former image, more static, focused on the six separate sectors originally overseen by the Chambre (six squares for six sectors), but had become less representative following the 2009 reform of the securities registration system which abolished supervision of one of those sectors: investment contract brokerage.

Taking advantage of the fact that its former logo had to be modernized and drawing on the expertise acquired over more than ten years of existence, the Chambre adopted a new identity that expresses its contribution to the public and to the industry.

The Chambre's new image more clearly reflects the integrated oversight of a multi-disciplinary profession and illustrates the strength, competence and rigour of the organization and its members. The square reflects the Chambre's role in providing a framework for governing the multi-disciplinary practice of its members and its primary mission, which is to protect the public. The colour ochre is associated with the financial sector, while the solid black lends an air of seriousness and stability to the logo's composition.

"Securing your interests"

In addition to its logo, the Chambre has adopted a new signature, "Securing your interests", to replace "One option: competence". The new, more assertive and more striking signature clearly positions the Chambre within its role of protecting the public and promoting sound practices among its members.

Lastly, a print advertising campaign in the major daily and weekly newspapers throughout Québec as well as in industry-specific medias will promote the Chambre's new corporate image and branding among the public and the Chambre's members. Click here to see the advertisements.
