Winners of the Prix Excellence de la Chambre de la sécurité financière

The Prix Excellence de la Chambre de la sécurité financière were given out at the Insurance and Investments Convention held last Friday at Montréal’s Palais des Congrès, before approximately 400 participants at the noon banquet.  Mr. Stéphane Prévost, R.L.U., chair of the Chamber’s Board of Directors and Mr. Luc Labelle, M.Sc., president and C.E.O. handed out the awards. 
 
The Prix d’Excellence de la Chambre de la sécurité financière is designed to acknowledge an outstanding contribution by a member whose achievements, professional reach and community commitment serve as an example and inspiration for his or her peers. It was awarded to Mr. Dominic Paquette, B.Sc., Fin. Pl. Mr. Paquette is the founding president of the firm Partenaire-Conseils Groupe Financier, of Laval.
 
The Prix de la Relève de la Chambre de la sécurité financière is for members who are just beginning their careers and show great aptitude for the profession. It was awarded to Mr. Jean-Sébastien Gilbert, co-owner of the Val d’Or firm Gilbert & Associés Services financiers.
 
The jury was chaired by Mr. Robert Frances, president and chief executive officer of Peak Financial Group and the 2007-2008 president of the Investment Funds Institute of Canada (IFIC).  The other jury members were:
