Chamber's Sections
The members of the Chamber are gathered by section on a territorial basis. The province of Quebec is divided into 20 sections, each one among it managed by an office of direction of 6 to 12 members.
More than 320 volunteers play an active part in the sections (145 delegates and 182 members of the office of direction). Through the sections, the Chamber lends an attentive ear to its members, this helps to better understand their needs and realities on a daily basis.
The offices of direction of the sections, respecting the Chamber's mission, manages the section's business and have for mission to promote the development of the professionals in the financial service industry by offering continuous education support. The sections are mainly responsible for:
- Simplifying the exchange of information between the members and the Chamber
- Simplifying access to continuing training activities
- Supporting the Chamber's initiatives aiming at the maintenance of behaviors ethical and in conformity
- Organizing activities of networking
The place of residence, as it appears in the Autorité des marchés financier's register, determines the section a member belongs to, in accordance with the established territory of that section.
