The Chamber believes in the importance of making its presence known in the community through actions promoting the people’s well-being.

The Chamber is evolving and is present within the community through its more than 31,000 contributing members.

More specifically, the Chamber has chosen to support the Quebec Cystic Fibrosis Association.

Cystic fibrosis, a hereditary disease of the mucous glands, lungs and the digestive system, affects some 3,000 people across Canada.

For more than ten years now, the Chamber has actively supported the QCFA’s cause through fund-raising. To that end, the Chamber:

  • organizes creative and original events with the cooperation of its employees, directors, officers and members;
  • supports greater participation of its 20 regional sections in the organization of events, tournaments and other activities.

Each year, the Chamber sets a goal for its fund-raising campaign. The goal is based primarily on the results of the previous year’s campaign.

To date, the Chamber has raised more than $2 million for research into this disease.
